Well okay, building a culture of innovation does require more than simply leadership, but unless the top team fully engages with the innovation ideal and is prepared to promote it through their actions, expectations and leadership then there is little chance of a culture of innovation taking hold throughout the organisation.
Countless studies have shown how organisational leaders acknowledge that creating a culture of innovation within their organisations is a priority if they are to create game changing and long-lasting results; but studies have also shown that there is less certainty on the way in which organisations need to change in order to embed innovation.
