When you’re looking to transform corporate strategy, to build a culture of innovation which will deliver game changing solutions for the benefit of the organisation, its clients and its employees then you know it’s not going to be a short sharp finite process. Once a culture of innovation embeds itself within an organisation it becomes a self-feeding continuous improvement tool with each solution driving further developments.
We’ll look at embedding a culture in our next email, but for now we are concentrating on the journey itself, moving from the design and development phase towards an embedded structure which supports the innovation ecosystem. In essence, at this stage we are creating a roadmap; we know where we are, we know when we want to be and now we are working out the optimum route to travel to our preferred destination.
Whether you look towards a whole organisation transformation or a phased introduction, success will ultimately rest on the way in which the roadmap is designed and people are engaged in the journey. Call it spirit or culture or ethos; if your roadmap is designed with the right mindset then a chance of successfully navigating the pathway towards innovation will be considerably enhanced.
