Assessing your current culture
Who is it suited for?
This course is suitable for organisational leaders and those tasked with developing and introducing culture change. This module would also be of benefit to those who are considering mergers or acquisitions as well as those who are tasked with leading rapid growth organisations.
What does it cover?
This course explores the cultural assessment diagram, leading to an appreciation of the way in which business culture is influenced by leadership, management, people and external forces. Ideal for those who would like to use the cultural assessment diagram as part of an ongoing overview of the developing levels of culture within their organisation, it is also an essential first step for those who are looking to deliver culture change. The course looks to:
- Show how structure and business dynamics translate into culture and engagement
- build an understanding of the interplay between culture and outcome
- act as a basis for the next step of designing a culture which is fit for purpose
Why focus on assessing current culture?
Whether or not you are contemplating a strategic cultural change, assessing your internal culture will allow you to develop an understanding of the way things are currently done, and identify if there are any preventable bottlenecks due to a misaligned internal culture. Taking time to understand the current culture not only underpins any change effort, it also enables the leadership to focus more deeply on the factors which will drive or inhibit change.
